What is the application process like for studying medicine, dentistry and/or veterinary medicine in European Medical Universities?

After you complete our simple online application form, we will contact you to request that you provide us your admission documents so that we can submit them to our Partner Medical University before sending you the final acceptance document. If an admission exam is required, we will arrange for it to be held either in your country’s capital or at the Medical University to which you have applied.

What are the academic requirements for studying medicine, dentistry and/or veterinary medicine in Georgia?

European Medical Universities have different academic requirements, but all demand that candidates have finished their secondary education and be competent in English.

If I have low marks in my secondary school certificate, can I still be accepted to a Medical University in Georgia?

Yes, we are the only student recruiter in the world who can guarantee your acceptance into Georgia’s most cheap medical schools. Our team also assists candidates in obtaining a seat in a medical program, which is why we are able to get your admission after carefully evaluating your qualifications and discussing your options with you.

When is the deadline for applying at a European University Medical School?

The official deadline for applying to a Medical University in Georgia is usually six months before the start date of one of our Partner Universities’ intakes, but we are constantly updated by all Partner Medical Universities we represent with any open positions that may arise at the last minute, so you should always consult with us regardless of the date. Of course, it’s always better to apply early.

5. Can you put into motion my application process in case I am missing any admission documents that will take time for me to get?

Yes, we can begin your application to reserve your spot at one of our Partner Medical Universities before we submit the additional required admission paperwork, though acceptance will most likely be conditional until we get these documents.

Will I have to sit for an admission exam to get into a European Medical University?

Almost 80% of the medical schools we represent do not require an entrance exam. We will assist you in achieving your goals regardless of whether you take admission examinations from our partner university list or not, as we provide prepared material and notes for all such essential entrance exams.

What is the required level of English competence for students who do not speak English as their first language?

Depending on which Medical University you wish to apply to, the minimum required level of English competency is B1 or B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and you must have been assessed by a recognized English test center or English Language Assessment Organization; otherwise, you must take an English test organized by the respective University.

Is there an age limit for applications at Georgian universities?

There are no age restrictions in any country, and anyone can apply to study medicine or dentistry.

Can I transfer from my current Medical University to a European Medical University final year taught program in medicine, dentistry, or veterinary medicine?

Yes, you will need to submit your transcripts and course descriptions from your current Medical University for evaluation at first. The European school registrar, in collaboration with Study Medicine Europe, will assess your level and year of study by comparing it to their own equivalent program, as well as the courses you must complete to graduate. Study Medicine Europe has successfully performed several transfers and is the only student recruiter who may seek the outcome of the evaluation from our Partner Universities before the official application process.

Will I be allowed to enter a European medical school in a later year of study if I have a degree in a relevant field or discipline (Biology, Nursing, Psychology, etc.)?

Graduate entry is offered to Bachelor’s degree graduates. Candidates can do a 4 year course if they hold a science-related degree or a 5 year course if they hold a non-Science degree. Graduate Entry courses are offered in Medicine or Dentistry. Please note that graduate entry is currently only available to students applying to Georgian medical universities. 

What is the cost of living in Georgia?

While these countries’ economy are healthy, their incomes are significantly lower than those in the rest of Europe. Georgia, for example, is extremely inexpensive when compared to other countries. This, however, does not imply that there is any difference in services or educational quality; just the contrary. The average monthly cost of living is around $300, which includes rent in private housing, electricity bills, internet access, cable TV, food, books, travel, and expenditures.

Are annual tuition fees subject to fluctuate throughout the academic year?

Although tuition fees might slightly change from year to year, the fees quoted at the beginning of programme in the academic calendar will remain the same for the whole duration of your program.

Will the University courses in Georgia be taught in English?

Courses are given in English; however, beginning in their third year of studies, students must learn the local language as part of their university program in order to communicate with patients at the University hospital.

All of our medical schools in Georgai are internationally accredited, and their degrees are internationally recognized. They are included in the WHO (World Health Organization) directory of international medical schools as well as the IMED (International Medical Education Directory) public database of medical schools around the world.
